CHRISTLIKE LOVE

Christ’s love is the REAL THING. If He gave His life a ransome for the perfect, it would be understandable, but to give his life a ransome for enemies is love of heaven’s origin (cons. Rom.5:6-8, 1Cor.5:14-15, 1Jn.3:16).

It takes this kind of love on our part to attend to the people and we must let that love be worked out in us this time, as we pray the following Scriptures (Rom.5:6-8, 2Cor.5:14-15, Matt.22:39, Rom.13:8).

Over and above His universal love that sent Him to calvary for all men, Christ our Master loved His children/brethren with love indescribable (Jn.13:1,34; 15:9,12, Rom.8:35)

If we be brethren one to another; if we are looking forward to a time of dwelling together in heaven at last; if we must work together in understanding and peace, we must put on this kind of love. Antagonism, backbiting, slandering, neglect, contempt, disputes, suspicious, criticisms and judgements must all be put away. We have rather been commanded to love therefore let us pray in love for the brethren as He has commanded us (Jn.13:34; 15:12,17, Eph.5:25,28,33, Gal.3:19, Tit.2:4, 1Pt.1:22, 3:8, 1Jn.3:11,14; 4:7, 11-12, 2Jn.5).
