Leprosy Of Lack Of Appreciation in Ministry

This condition is a wide spread disease affecting members of the Church in varying degrees; hence the absence of the required growth of the ministry and the attendant excuse making (cons. Lk.14:16-20).

The primary cause of this condition is the ignorance of the value of the ministry and the absence of the required honour. (cons. Ps. 49:12, 20; Mal. 1:6-8).

All Genuine Christian should known the worth of the ministry in God’s sight, multitudes would have spent and been spent for the objectives of the ministry (cons. Judg. 5:18; Act. 15:25-26; 1Cor. 15:29-30; Phil. 3:7-14).

The Holy Scripture is replete with men that understood and appreciated their purpose in life, amongst which are of the old testament: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Phinehas, Elisha, Nehemiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, etc (cons. Gen. 6:8-14; 12:1-4; 18:17; Exo. 2:11-12; Heb. 11:24-26; Num.25:1-13, 1Kgs. 19:19-21; Neh. 6:2-3, 10-11; Jn. 4:34; 9:4; Lk. 2:46-49); of the new testament: the apostles in general and of course many other disciples (cons. Mk. 10:28; Act. 6:2-4; Rom. 16:6, 12; 1Cor. 16:15-16; Phil. 1:21, 23; 2:25-27; 2Tim. 4:20).

All these, did place premium on their ministries because they had knowledge of the worth of their calling and the attendant benefits (cons. Eph. 1:16-18).
